Why being quiet is so loud
20. Mai 2026 - Screening im Kino Sputnik
Can we, who have not experienced it, imagine what it means to live through war? What it means to live on with the memory of it?
In „Why being quiet is so loud“, Nefjodov follows her partner during his trauma therapy, recording his thoughts, memories and emotions. Simultaneously, she contemplates what it means to share intimate space with the trauma of a loved one using the camera to bridge the distance it creates. It is a personal reflection on a beautiful but heavy healing process. The Film is part of a bigger installation work with the same title “Why being quiet is so loud” on Nefjodov’s family history and the long-lasting impact of war-related trauma.
